Demolition and Plant Decommissioning

ERP has worked on demolition and decommissioning projects at various types of power plants and industrial facilities. ERP has demolition experts that can support all aspects of demolition and decommissioning projects because of their in-depth understanding of potential issues that may arise during project execution. ERP's staff has a track record of working successfully to complete complex demolition projects with challenging regulatory, safety, and environmental elements. ERP excels in working with all stakeholders of these multifaceted projects – including contractors, clients, regulatory agencies, municipalities, neighborhood residents, and environmental groups.  ERP, through its creative solutions, responsiveness, and collaborative style, consistently finds ways to guide the process to completion.

ERP's expertise includes reviewing and evaluating demolition plans, schedules, and contracting to provide detailed recommendations on process improvement, risk reduction, and regulatory compliance. ERP also has experience in oversight of safety programing, permitting compliance, SPCC plan preparation, VCUP remediation, SWPPP audits, regulatory inspections, abatement and demolition coordination, waste removal, profiling, material tracking, spill response, scheduling, and overall job planning and reviewing.

Protection of the environment and ensuring a safe work zone are of paramount importance to a successful project. ERP is proud of its portfolio of successful projects. As a firm that was built through a combination of technical and industry leading personnel from some of the nation’s largest engineering and environmental services firms, ERP is able to provide a staff with deep experience on similar projects. While building a strong team of expertise, ERP has been able to maintain a focus on responsiveness, client service, and provided value.

ERP employees have extensive backgrounds in decontamination and removal of hazardous substances, including asbestos, lead, PCBs, caustis, and acids. ERP ensures full regulatory compliance throughout the decommission process. Projects are strictly managed from utility isolation and protect in-place controls through decontamination, dismantling, and precise rigging of equipment and structures. All of this is achieved while maximizing asset recovery and rigorously enforcing safety practices.
